Genial.ly is a Spanish software startup born in Córdoba in 2015. Genial.ly's goal is to simplify and make communication more effective by offering an online tool to create interactive communication experiences that respond to any type of need in the fields of marketing, design, training and communication. Spain is one of Genial.ly's largest markets, although they have a global presence, experiencing significant growth in countries such as Mexico, Colombia and France. They are also beginning to penetrate the Anglo-Saxon market, especially in countries such as the United Kingdom and the United States.
As an integrated part of its proposition, Genial.ly wanted to create Genially Academy to provide the user with a training space to help them turn their content into communicative experiences and get the most out of the tool. They used to offer these resources through different channels and in different formats. The objective was to offer a totally unique experience.
Genial.ly was looking for a provider that could give them the best possible answer to Genially Academy's needs. WordPress and Canvas were some of the alternatives they considered before finally opting for Actua LMS, the enhanced Moodle from Actua Solutions.
Project requirements:
Thanks to the collaboration with Actua Solutions, Genially Academy has a totally differential graphic customization within the sector. The visual richness acquired in the proposal has become one of the identifying pillars within the project's DNA. At the technical level, Actua Solutions provided from the beginning a solution to all the needs and tools for the data crossing to be carried out in an optimal way.
With the help of Actua Solutions, Genial.ly managed to diversify its Academy proposal by creating and segmenting content for designers, communicators and also for those who want to freely deepen their knowledge of the tool.
Since 2015, Genial.ly has seen approximately 8 million users register on the platform. Since March 2020, on the occasion of the confinement, they have managed to triple the data recorded on the platform.
Genially Academy currently has over 100,000 enrolled users, since its launch in June 2020, 73 courses and 36 pills. Active users come from 170 different countries.
Users of the e-learning platform range from university students and teachers to primary and secondary school teachers, designers, bloggers, major publishers (Santillana, Pearson) and the media (L'Equipe, Huffington Post, El País, Grupo Prisa). In addition, in the corporate field, they work for freelancers, SMEs and large corporations such as Oracle, the Sydney Opera House, the Italian Congress of Deputies, Telefónica and Michelin.
